Day Camp 2019
We all know farms are vital and that farmers care for their properties and work hard to look after their animals and produce good crops. This year at Day Camp we are thinking about how God is like a good farmer and the kingdom of God is like a healthy farm. God’s farm is a good place and a good place for us. God is a good farmer and a good shepherd, good fruit grows there and it is a place where God’s people are growing too. Day Camp 2019 will have group time, music, activities, dress up day, crafts, Friday Farmers Festival and Market and a final family concert all within the theme of farms, farming and growing things.
Activities vary across age groups, with some in the morning and some in the afternoon. Parental permission is required for all off-site activities. In the case of extreme weather, activities will be modified as necessary and where possible alternative transport will be organised for walking activities. Extra excursion details will be available during the week. Morning Tea is provided every day and water is always available. If you’d like to contribute biscuits/cake (no nuts), please bring them to the kitchen any day. Morning Tea for parents is in the assembly area, so please feel free to stay and see what the kids are up to each morning while you stop for a cuppa. Please provide a named hat and packed lunch each day. At the end of each day a newsletter will be sent home with all the information for the next day.
Camp Concert – Friday 18 January, doors open 6:15pm, concert from 6:30-7:45pm. Hopefully you’ll be able to come. It’s a great celebration to end the week and the kids can show something of what they’ve been doing.
Due to space limitations and safety requirements, we have to limit registrations. We are continuing our new booking system, where those that attended in 2018 have first preference. If you are new in 2019 please come on registration day to be placed on a waiting list. If you came to Day Camp in 2018, as mentioned, you will receive first preference for Day Camp 2019, however you must register and pay by end of registration day. We can then allocate places in order of registration and according to availability in year level groups. We limit registrations to about 20 per group (less for Receptions) with a total of approximately 150.
