Day Camp 2020
It’s time to plan for the summer holidays and what could be better than a cruise to the Greek Islands with Poochie and time to explore Athens in the footsteps of Paul?! Poochie is our own Day Camp dog and Paul was a guy who knew Jesus and travelled around the Mediterranean to tell people how much God cares for them. Come and spend the week with us as we cruise through the holidays encountering life in Greece and God’s greatness in music, activities, crafts, group time, Ancient Agora Experience, a final family concert and lots of fun opportunities with the Day Camp community.
Activities vary across age groups, with some in the morning and some in the afternoon. Parental permission is required for off-site activities. In extreme weather, activities will be modified as necessary and where possible alternative transport will be organised for walking activities. Extra excursion details will be available during the week. Morning Tea is provided every day and water is always available to refill drink bottles. If you would like to contribute biscuits/cake (no nuts), please bring them to the kitchen any day. Morning Tea for parents is in the assembly area, so please feel free to stay and see what the kids are up to each morning while you stop for a cuppa. Please provide a named hat, drink bottle and packed lunch each day. At the end of each day a newsletter will be sent home with information for the next day.
Camp Concert – Friday 17 January, doors open 6:15pm, concert from 6:30-7:45pm. Hopefully you’ll be able to come. It’s a great celebration to end the week and the kids can show something of what they’ve been doing.
Due to space limitations and safety requirements, we have to limit registrations. We are continuing our new booking system, where those who attended in 2019 have first preference, however you must register and pay by the end of registration day. If you are new in 2020 please come on registration day to be placed on a waiting list. We will then allocate places in order of registration and according to availability in year level groups. We limit registrations to about 20 per group (less for Receptions) with a total of approximately 150.
