Day Camp 2021
Life is an amazing race filled with challenges, team mates, prizes and adventure and even though we might not be able to do much actual travelling at the moment, at Day Camp we can explore and experience more of the world on our route. We might think it’s a competition but it’s actually more about amazing grace and at Day Camp 2021 we’ll be exploring the ideas of a good God who loves us and helps us. There’ll be a few differences in how things work this year but basically all our favourites of craft, afternoon activities, group and assembly time and carnival will still be happening. We’re excited about sharing this episode of Amazing gRace.
Due to space limitations, safety requirements and COVID regulations, we are required to limit registrations. We have a revised booking system, where those who attended in 2020 have a guaranteed space, however you must register and pay by Friday 30 October. We unfortunately are unable to accept new families (except for Receptions who are siblings of 2020 Day Campers), however, if you would like to be placed on the waiting list for first preference for 2022, please contact us.
Activities vary across age groups, with some in the morning and some in the afternoon. Parental permission is required for off-site activities. In extreme weather, activities will be modified as necessary and where possible alternative transport will be organised for walking activities. Extra excursion details will be available during the week. Please provide a named hat, drink bottle and packed morning tea and lunch each day. Water will always be available to refill drink bottles. At the end of each day a newsletter will be sent home with information for the next day.
Pickup and drop-off will be altered, however this is not yet finalised – it will be communicated in the pre-Day Camp newsletter. Morning Tea for parents unfortunately cannot be provided, however we encourage you to catchup with other parents over a coffee/tea at one of the local cafes – The Pantry on Egmont, Bond & Lane Canteen, Local Crowd, The Little Fig, The Middle Store, Yeah Nah Yeah etc.
Camp Concert – Friday 15 January from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. We will be securely live-streaming the concert, so you can enjoy the celebration from your own home. It’s a great celebration to the end of the week, so we encourage you to tune in together as a family.
